If you own a dog, you already know how much fun and laughter they can bring. But did you know that dog's also come with some pretty powerful mental and physical health benefits? Dogs can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and playfulness, and even improve your cardiovascular health. And, of course, we all know the benefit's of gentle exercise, such as relaxation, improve health and fitness without damaging joints, improve flexibility, increase stamina, increase core strength, aid blood flow
and allow you to step away from your busy life and have some 'me' time.
So if dogs and exercise are good for us, why can walking out dog become a stressful ordeal?
Well, like any exercise other gentle exercise like yoga or swimming, we need to learn how to do it correctly to get the proper benefits.
Which is why Canine Comprehension now offers a once a month walking class. We will take a gentle walk together with our dogs and learn how to get our dogs to:
When: First Saturday of every month.
Time: 10am - 10.50am
Where: We start and end at Eltham Vet. Our walk will 1km to Eltham Tea House, 561 Main Road. (Grab a take away coffee if we have time) and walk back again.
What to bring: wet weather gear (if it looks like rain), poo bags, lead, halter, walking shoes, money for a coffee.
Cost: usual $25.00 class.
Any questions: Email Sarah.
If you have trained with us before, this is a wonderful opportunity to take the show on the road. We will be doing the usual class stuff:
