Rini has a background in Animal Science and Professional Dog Training. Rini has spent many years working with dogs and their people to improve interspecies communication and relationships.
The therapeutic benefits of dogs became evident to Rini and an interest in Canine Assisted Therapy and Canine Assisted Learning grew. This contributed to the decision to go back to University and complete a Master of Social Work.
Rini and Diana are excited to be joining the Canine Comprehension team and look forward to supporting young people together.
Diana is Rini’s main therapy dog. Diana the Pointer x arrived in Rini's life as a foster dog, but soon made it clear she was there to stay. After overcoming adversity in earlier years, Diana has grown into a loving, patient, and intuitive friend. She is kind and gentle with young people who she meets, but is also ready to play silly and have fun.
