Dog assisted learning can build confidence

When Sally came to school she lacked confidence and resilience her attendance was low and her peer relationships low.  Prior to inclusion in the program there were communication concerns as she seemed unable to make lasting positive relationships with adults or peers at school.

Sally attended every session. Although she was not talkative, she engaged and was eager to learn and explore their own belief systems. In the group said she felt supported and enjoyed being able to listen to other people‘s perspectives and have tutor and dog in the sessions.
