Embrace the Change

Time is of the essence! The response has been incredible, with 57 schools already on board. With only 7 programs left, we encourage you to express interest for your school by registering promptly, as spaces are filling up fast.

Our innovative Dog Assisted Learning program helps students navigate change, uncertainties and anxieties. We can also work on building their social and emotional skills, ensuring a successful transition from primary to secondary school. We work with students and their teachers to foster connections and happiness in the learning environment.

Target Audience: ADHD, ASD, ODD, Neurodiverse students, students with anxiety around attending school or working with others or students who require support in positive communication skills and seeing their school environment as a positive environment.

Learning Intention

This is me, and what I know

Learning about change is crucial for students as it equips them with essential life skills. It enables them to navigate transitions, build resilience, and maintain emotional well-being in a world of constant flux. Understanding change fosters empathy, adaptability, problem-solving, and a positive mindset, all of which are invaluable assets for personal growth, career readiness, and meaningful relationships. 

This is what I don’t know and what I’m afraid of.

Explore different types of changes students encounter in their lives and why we might feel worried about change. This session aims to broaden students' perspectives on change, enabling them to differentiate between its positive and challenging aspects and encouraging them to empathise with the diverse experiences of their peers that can lead to fear around change.

Seeing the significance of routines in managing change and transitions is vital for students as it provides them with stability and predictability during uncertain times. This understanding equips them with practical coping mechanisms, reducing anxiety and promoting a smoother adjustment to new circumstances.

This is why change is essential.

Teaching students how to overcome challenges is vital as it equips them with problem-solving skills and resilience, enabling them to navigate life's obstacles confidently and adaptable. These skills are crucial for personal growth and success in an ever-changing world.

Recognising and appreciating the positive aspects of change empowers students to build resilience and adaptability, vital skills for navigating life's uncertainties. It also promotes emotional well-being by reducing anxiety and fostering a positive mindset, enabling students to embrace change with optimism and confidence.
