Joshua (Josh)

Josh knew he wanted to work with children to create positive outcomes from a young age. Starting out as a recreation and swim teacher at the age of 16, he quickly became popular amongst the children he taught. Though relationships Josh can bring out the best emotionally and physically while encouraging students to consider their strengths.

Josh has continued his work in the early years space where he has worked for several years. Josh continues to be engaged with tutoring and the out of school care for primary aged students where he is the Director of Learning (and fun!). Josh understands the importance of early intervention to mental health support and can’t wait to use Black bolt in classrooms around Melbourne.

Josh continues to study and is engaged with studies in the Mental Health, Family Violence and Primary aged school care. He values respectful and inclusive spaces and look forward to being part of something so amazing with Blackbolt by his side.

Blackbolt

Blackbolt

Blackbolt is a 5-year-old pure pug that has 4 human siblings and 1 animal sibling. He loves pats and getting out of the house. He is friendly and incredibly loving and enjoys those that will struggle all day long.

His nature allows him to adore by all including those that have fears of animals and those that might be having mental health concerns or a bad day. He reduces anxiety and is a loving companion. With his brother Mando he loves going outside and walking in the plants, but he quickly likes to return to the side of his human counterparts.

Blackbolt will ensure those that are in his care are at ease by his calming presence. Together with Josh they are what teams are made of. Both with passion and desirer to support students across Victoria.
