Innovative Educator - Teacher and student support

$16,600 inc GST

Each week, a therapy dog and mentor visit your school for a full day. They support two (2) groups of students through your choice of programs and spend the rest of the day facilitating teacher professional development (3 hours with breaks)

Teacher PD: Our support program is designed to empower principals, teachers, and schools to harness the incredible potential of therapy dogs in educational settings. By partnering with us, you gain access to a comprehensive and tailored support system that addresses your school's unique needs and goals. We offer a range of services and resources that ensure therapy dogs become valuable contributors to students' academic and emotional development, creating a positive and nurturing school environment.

Two programs within this package are subject to evaluations. Teacher professional development may be subject to evaluation (please discuss this with Canine Comprehension management)

Teacher PD: 12.20 - 2.10 pm

Week 2

Group 2: 10:30 - 11.20 am: Friendship and Responsibility Group (Evaluated program)
Content: My responsibilities, my dog’s responsibilities.

Teacher PD: 12.20 - 2.10 pm
Content: Evidence-based approach

Teacher support and wellbeing: 2.20 - 3.10
Adult Mindfulness activities with a therapy dog.
Week 3
